Lesson: 12 - Manipulate images, photo stitch.

Purpose:Learn how to manipulate images , stitch photos together.

1 - (Time : 1:30 minutes, Laptops/desktops : 10, Students strength : 15 to 20).

Materials Required

Laptop, Internet connection with Photopea software, E-mail id with password.

Curriculum Content 2.4)Photo Manipulation, Photo Stitching.
Prior knowledge

Students should be able to download images and know how to work with layers.

1. Students use the pen tool, brush tool with its parameters in Photopea to manipulate images.

Teacher's Instruction
  1. While the students learn, the teacher should observe whether they articulate the words like quick selection, duplicate, layer, transform controls, resize, pen tool, make selection, select, deselect, duplicate layer, folder, brush, rotate, size, randomize, auto blend and be familiar.
  2. Guidance should be given for the students for every exercise and allow them to share in their peer group.
  3. Allow the children to use shortcut keys.
  4. Allow them to create a new brush.
  5. Students should know to hide and show the layers.
  6. Students should know to rename the layers.
  7. Ask them to think about why the transform controls option is used often?
  8. Ask them to think about why a layer kept down the background layer is not shown on the workspace?
  9. Ask the students to differentiate between open and open & place.
  10. Ask them, why rasterize is needed?
